Scholarship

• Approve $1,000.00 scholarship for 2027
• Approve and post attached Guidelines and Application (application to be updated for 2027)
• Overview and Board approval of the strategy to create a more sustainable program:
  • Current scholarship from the DEYC general fund does not have the ability to grow.
  • Legal liability of managing our own non-profit 501(c)(3) and accounting for the flow of donations to recipients.
  • Scholarship for Boothbay Harbor students for post-secondary studies (college of ‘aircraft’ mechanic).
